The curriculum for the discipline "Design in Graphic Design" is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Standard.  3 INTRODUCTION 

Graphic design has always been at the forefront of design culture. As a part of the design, this design specialization is able, by virtue of its imminent mobility, to be the first to absorb and implement new ideas and trends. Graphic design is the process of choosing and organizing graphics components in order to achieve a specific goal, which can be either aesthetic or have a functional background, and often pursue both of these goals. Any graphic design, using non-verbal, visual symbols, can have a huge impact on the audience. The success of a project depends to a large extent on the observance of the internal principles that guide the specialist in creating any object of graphic design. A special place of this discipline in vocational training is due to the fact that “Design in Graphic Design” is the basis for preparing students of the specialty Graphic Design. The proposed discipline will allow the future graphic designer to navigate in various areas of design creativity, meaningfully approach the issue of technical support and support of a specialist in the field of artistic design. Discipline is closely related and relies on such disciplines as “Typography”, “Font”, “Technique of graphics”, “Photographics”, “Computer technologies”, “Color science and colorists”, “Composition”, etc. The discipline provides for laboratory classrooms classes with a teacher, visiting museums and exhibitions, first-hand knowledge of the activities of design studios and art design bureaus, and performance of tasks as part of the student’s independent work.




 4 1. ORGANIZATIONAL-METHODICAL INDICATIONS 

 The purpose and objectives of the discipline The purpose of the discipline is: is to study the features of graphic design as a type of creative activity, i.e. the subject area on which the specialty is directly oriented; the acquisition by students of practical skills to create a consumer product; the formation of competencies in the field of general methods, principles and techniques of composition in the design of various objects of visual communication. In the course of its achievement, the following tasks are solved: to apply the obtained theoretical knowledge in the field of designing into practice when working with graphic material; teach how to create and develop graphic design projects and advertising products independently; to give fundamental concepts about the structure of project design activities; to study all types of graphics products sold on the market today and its application areas; to give an idea of   the modern materials used today in the printing industry; to put into practice, when creating any kind of product, advanced theoretical knowledge of composition, psychology, color physics, font graphics, and computer graphics to create various graphic works.


1.2. The list of competencies acquired in the study of the discipline Students in the learning process should acquire the following competencies: willingness to use professional terminology and have an idea of   the typology of objects of graphic design; the ability to create graphics products in any style; the ability to use computer technology to create the final advertising product; ability to combine artistic graphics, photography, font to create printed products
 5 ability to create promotional products for any sphere of activity: commercial, political, social; the ability to correctly use fonts, drawings, photographs, animation when creating various types of graphics and electronic products; ability to design a sign, logo.

1.3. The main types of activities and features of their conduct 
This discipline is basic for the training of specialists in the field of graphic design and is conducted from 3 to 10 semester. The total duration of the discipline is 1288 academic hours. 3 semester - 146 hours 4 semester - 146 hours 5 semester - 146 hours 6 semester - 146 hours 7 semester - 176 hours 8 semester - 176 hours 9 semester - 176 hours 10 semester - 176 hours . The results of its development are revealed in the course

Types of control and reporting on the discipline Intermediate control of knowledge is carried out in the form of a differentiated offset. During the semester, students are monitored on a daily basis, taking into account class attendance, test results, as well as the volume and quality of laboratory work.
